Your comments on the Transport thing are not correct. The prices I saw were in many systems across many regions.
You have made many intelligent comments on my post, but you still haven't dealt with my central theme...or if you have I have not gleaned it. So let me ask you this directly. Is it possible for someone doing invention to make as much money on a T2 item as the holder of a BPO for that same item? If you think it is possible, I'd like to see the math on it. Or just name the item and I'd be happy to do the math for you.
Of course it will never be possible build t2 stuff by invention for the same price as building from a bpo, but itÆs still possible to make a lot of isk from invention. Just choose a mod a bit better than a veldspar crystal. Mods used heavily in pvp are a good place to start.

The issue of access is what bugs me most. We have a set of items that affect a good chunk of an area of the game that are only available to certain players. There is no other area of this game where that is true. I can learn to fly any ship or use any module in the game by acquireing the skill and the said item. And before you throw named/faction items at me, I can do the same thing that anyone else can to get these items dropped on me.
T2 bpoÆs are available to everyone, theyÆre sold frequently on the market forum. The cost of a decent bpo is not much more than high end officer items, and if you think you can do something to get those dropped on you without months of farming then you have no need to do invention for isk.

The only exception to this seems to be a large chunk of older T2 BPOs, where my only choice is to build up billions in my wallet and wait for someone who is willing to sell me their seat at the table.
Most of the current bpo holders spent billions for their seat at the table, why should you get dealt in free?

Inventors and builders have been divided into two classes: the haves and the have-nots.
The more I think about this, the more bothered I am buy it.
If you really want a t2 bpo then buy one, you can make the isk to do so easily enough through invention.

We obviously both have an agenda here. Mine is to get a seat at the table that others think they have a right to by the simple fact that they either joined the game before me or bought their way in. I just don't think either of those facts should keep me from having the same opportunities they enjoy.
I think that other players having put in the time and effort to get their seat at the table gives them every right to sit at it. Again, why should you get dealt in for free?
